Today Sorenson Capital is thrilled to unveil its redesigned website—the first major contribution by Erin Halbrecht, the firm’s new Head of Platform and Operations.
The new website reflects the firm’s highly-specialized investing approach, and the uniquely supportive, business-fortifying relationships that Sorenson’s investors build with entrepreneurs. The site’s pleasing and engaging color palette honors “Sorenson blue”—a nod to the organization’s long-standing logo—while adding a dynamic spectrum that both engages and welcomes visitors to the site.
“We continuously communicate with our portfolio company founders and CEOs to understand how we can best serve them,” says Brady Broadbent, Partner at Sorenson Capital. “Their feedback celebrates Sorenson’s product-first approach, 10x support, go-to-market expertise, B2B software specialization, and commitment to collaborating with management teams. Our newly redesigned website reflects these pillars.”
Much like the companies Sorenson invests in, the firm’s new website was designed with both beauty and functionality in mind. From the Homepage to the Our Approach section, the sector roundups, the article library and beyond, visitors will quickly get a sense for Sorenson’s innovation-fueling thesis, and how the firm supports entrepreneurs and their teams.
Erin is the first to hold Sorenson’s new Head of Platform and Operations role.
“Since Sorenson’s founding in 2002, the firm has been committed to evolving as quickly as the B2B software companies we invest in,” says Ken Elefant, Partner and Co-Founder of Sorenson’s early-stage practice. “Erin’s arrival represents the latest chapter of our strategic growth, and her first pivotal project—the new sorensoncap.com—reflects the reputation our firm has earned in the venture capital space.”
Erin will lead the firm’s marketing, communications, and portfolio company support efforts while also working alongside the Partnership on internal operations. With more than 6 years of expertise in venture capital, Erin brings a wealth of knowledge and experience at the intersection of marketing, operations, and startups.
Most recently, Erin was on the marketing and platform team at Bessemer Venture Partners, where she managed global integrated marketing campaigns. Prior to joining Bessemer in 2021, she spent several years at Mubadala, a sovereign wealth fund of Abu Dhabi. During her tenure, Erin built and established the firm’s U.S. brand through marketing, portfolio company support, events, public relations, and more.
“I felt drawn to Sorenson because of the firm’s unique dedication to hand-in-hand collaboration with its portfolio companies,” Erin says. “Working with the Sorenson investors to complement their unique and thoughtful investing craft with my background in marketing and operations, will be enriching, rewarding, and fulfilling for me.”
The energy Sorenson put behind the website redesign doesn’t end with the site’s launch.
“As for the guidance and resources Sorenson offers to portfolio founders and the B2B arena at large, this is only the beginning,” Erin says. “In the coming months and years, our new website will be home to uniquely valuable articles, explainers, events, and playbooks tailored to the needs of product-focused B2B software founders and executives—with a level of quality and authenticity that only Sorenson can deliver.”
